BARN HOUSE VINTAGE TAG SALE!

What an awesome day I had with my daughter Valerie and bestie Amy and her two daughters! We headed out at 7:30 for Battleground, Washington for the Barn house sale.  We spent about
4 hours garage sale-ing our way there.  So much fun! The sights, smells and sounds were wonderful. So many women (and a few good men) were there shopping thier hearts out.

I found some of my favorite blogs spots had thier booths there, so got to hang out and speak to
some of the actual owners of the blogs. Even got to speak to one of the Barn House boys, not sure which one, though! Still learning these things.

I did get some very cool ideas for the shop that is yet to be!! Have to get with the owner to get everything taken care of. Hubby has been making the deals, so I am kinda waiting on him.
He's been busy with our construction business, Valley Rose construction and our local Boy Scout troop as he is the Troop Master.

About our shop:
still trying to come up with a name. Linens and Lace? Lost Treasures? Tattered Lace?
I just dont know!!  Havent slept in 3 nights, since the gentleman said we could rent the shop.
So I am literally dragging myself around and contemplating a nap. I am not a napper. Its a waste of time!!
Also, wanted to add a blip here for the "Treasures from the Heart vintagemarketplace"
sale on Saturday August 4th. 9am-4pm on Prairie Rd just past Irving on the left.

Hope to see you there!!

AMAZING WEEK!!

What started out as an average week last week, ended up amazing!! Tuesday morning as I was preparing for the farmers market in Creswell, I got on my knees in my greenhouse and prayed for the market. That I would be successful and make enough money to buy the wainscoting I want for my kitchen. I also prayed about a little vintage/antique store with handcraft items also.  This is my dream.
Well, by 6pm I had made a $1. Sold 3 plants and paid my booth fee. Not so great.  But, I had shared with an acquitance about my dream of a shop and she said she was totally in on helping/doing something like this.  Then I facebooked a friend who used to have a shop  to just
get ahold of me. She did and was actually thinking of re-opening a shop also. All this time, I am totally feeling the hand of God in this.
Wednesday, I run into Eugene on some errands and decide to stop at "Treasures from the Heart" antique store. CLosed. bummer. Well, the lovely lady inside invites us in anyway, and I left so excited and blessed that I had been there. She encouraged me to do what I wanted to do.
What I loved the most is that her business is Christ centered!! Which is totally how I plan on running mine.
So since then Susan and I have been garage sale-ing and brainstorming. My husband is totally involved and going to build me a shop on our property!!
Susan and I will hopefully be having our first booth at a vintage show at "Treasures from the Heart" vintage marketplace on Aug 4th. I encourage you to come and see everyone and their wonderful stuff.

Good Morning to another gray, overcast day here in Oregon. I have to admit it's nice to work in the garden with out the hot hot sun blistering my back, but i certainly miss the sun.

What an awesome couple of days I have had! I have felt the hand of God three times in the last 2 days! What an amazing feeling! I am seriously thinking/working on opening a vintage shop somewhere. I really dont want to call it an antique store, although that will be the main line of products. I am also looking at maybe carrying a couple of lines of vintage look scrapbooking supplies.
So, I began praying about it. I asked my facebook friends to pray for it.  I went in my greenhouse,
kneeled on the floor and prayed about it. That evening while at the farmers market, I ran into another nursery owner and told her what i was praying about and she was so excited and eager to be part of it.
I have to admit, I came home with a $1 from the market but was so excited about talking with my friend.
Next day...I take my daughter Valerie to the most darling little antique shop in Eugene. Closed, the sign says. Bummer. I see a lady in the doorway, roll down my window and she invites us in. Needless to say it was a total blessing and I felt Gods presence the whole time! She shared her wisdom from the 5 years she has been in business. The fact that her business is totally God centered made it all the more wonderful. I was holding back the tears as she hugged my daughter and I as we prepared to leave. Please check her out at vintagemarketplace.weebly.com! Thank you Barbara for your blessings!!
The third "miracle" came later that evening.  I had asked a girlfriend I hadnt seen in a long time to call me, I wanted to chat with her about something.  Susan totally knew why I had wanted her to contact me. 2 hours later we had a semi-plan for a vintage tent sale here at my house. Probably, in Sept. I still have hopes for the shop. I would love to find an old house to rent or buy. I'm leaving in Gods hands!!
Now, I am gonna show you some pics of cards and things I have created, and the latest peice of antique furniture I picked up.
Hope you all are having a most lovely, blessed day!!

Good Monday Morning!!

Overcast and cool on this July morning. This is my first day to stay home since my last day of work on my birthday June 29th! I am so excited yet overwhelmed with all the things I want to do. My list is long!
My greenhouse needs a deep cleaning as well as my craft studio. I want to disassemble an ugly old chair i bought 10 years ago at a garage sale. I had purchased a floral pattern to redo it in, and have now purchased a muslin/canvas fabric to stencil and put on it. I have some old antique dressers and side tables I want to paint. I need to order some milk or chalk paint to accomplish this. I am waiting for Miss Mustard seeds line to be available.
My gardens need weeding, porches need swept, windows washed and the list goes on. So, I will try and figure out what is priority and move on from there!!
Happy Monday!!
